I am using Samsung Galaxy Duos GT-S6102 since June 2012. Because it is my first touch screen phone, I loved it at beginning. But problems emerged gradually. From the first I did not like the handsfree: it’s so common in Samsung phones which are of Rs. 2,000 to 4,000 & nothing special. Music player is not upto the mark too.
Secondly, I hate when it HANGs. If 8 or more apps are installed in the SD card, it tends to hang & works SLOWly. Upto 32GB expandable memory cannot capable of installation of 2GB full!!
The most terrible trouble is it loses network now & then. I miss important calls if I forget to check the Notification bar to confirm whether the networks are working. I need to switch the phone off & on to catch network or to on & off the flight mode. It really sucks! People who are using this product, do you have the same problem of losing network??
Browsing Internet in this phone is of quite ease. I l ike the facility to work on multiple windows at a time. The downloading remains in background while working on other windows. Navigation, YouTube, latitude, places, maps, gtalk, news & weather are fine apps (Thanks to Android!!). But I don’t know & understand the use of POLARIS VIEWER!! It does not have installed Blacklist option like other Samsung phones: it have to be downloaded.
Battery backup is very poor while using facebook or browsing internet. It gives continuous 4to5hrs talk + 1hr music only & battery shows low. But it can be charged very fast.
It has 3.2MP camera but the quality is really not up to the mark. It’s horrible in low light. Snaps you take in daylight outside are worth to be clicked. :-(
Finally, I would like to say that this phone is not that bad to use if you do not use it very roughly and expect less in order to stay happy with it. And who are going to buy it, please be aware of the above stated problems. LOL.
