Sub: Bill No: ALK/HD/RI-6518 DT. 30 Nov 2011.
Order placed over phone for the following products with Republic of Chicken Call Center:
1) Chicken Nuggets 2 packets of 200 grams as 450 grams are never available.
2) Chicken Sheekh Kabab 500 grams.
3) Chicken Meat Loaf 150 grams packet.
The above order was delivered from Alkananda outlet. When delivered I found that the Meat Loaf was missing. I informed the delivery boy and he quickly took the receipt back and said he would send it shortly.
After an hour a packet of Chicken Meat Loaf was delivered. By the time I opened the packet the delivery boy had gone. From the outset the packet was found to be damaged and torn and the item was hard as a brick.
I was a bit suspicious and so looked at the date of packing. To my utter surprise I found it to be 26 Mar 2011. Which means the item was packed almost 9 months ago. I couldn't believe my eyes. I mean ROC is known for their own huge poultry and promises hygiene and freshness and yet delivered a product to me which was almost 9 moths ago really shocked me.
I called up the call center again and I was informed by the person who picked up the phone that the product can be consumed upto a year. I was shocked further. He then connected me to the Alkananda, New Delhi, Outlet and asked me to talk to them.
The man who spoke to me told me the same thing that it could be had even though 9 months has expired after packaging.
I told him that he should take it back and replace it with a more recently packed one or I would have to throw it in the garbage as there was no way I would feed it to my family. He said he didn't have a replacement and asked me for an alternative product. In view of the shocking experience I asked him to send me a 200 grams packet of Chicken Nuggets. The items were exchanged after 30 minutes.
The purpose of my writing this review is that with this experience I have lost all my confidence in ROC having been a loyal customer since the outlet in CR Park, New Delhi opened. After yesterday's shocking incidence I doubt if I will ever buy from ROC again. I mean, I cannot think of feeding my family stale and spoiled chicken as you they are selling.
I am attaching pictures of the damaged packet and showing its date of packing. With this incidence they have lost in me a a very loyal and valuable customer. In fact no one in my greater family will take the risk of buying another ROC product again.
