They are out to fleece . Review on Pragati Packers and Movers

We had to shift from Bangalore to Pune and were looking out for reasonable price and value for money packers. After checking out rates of a well known company, we decide to go with Pragati as they talked big and boasted that most big companies were contracting to them. Their people reached after we made 10 calls to them. We had told them to finish off as soon as possible so that we could board the evening bus to Pune as we could not stay back. They assured us that all work would be done by 14:00. They finally finished at 18:00.

We were assured that we would be getting our goods on 2nd day after dispatch.

However after reaching Pune, we had to continuously follow up and these guys came only on the 5th day. Luckily our family is in Pune so we could stay there but what about customers who don't have their house?

Anyway, these people refused to empty the Tempo until we cleared their whole payment. We insisted that we would only pay them after they emptied the tempo and after we checked everything. They were adamant and were ready to take the goods back. After 2 hours of arguing and negotiation, we paid them half the amount and they emptied our goods. to our dismay, we found that they did not know how to assemble our sofa cum bed and also did not know where they had kept the screws of our bed. After spending hours on trying to assemble it, we gave up on them.

To our horror, we found some luggage bags and other items missing. Also, our dressing table was damaged, there was a dent on the fridge and comp table was with a broken leg. We realised now why they were not emptying the Tempo without the payment. We stopped their payment of about 3000 Rs till they gave us back our lost goods and repaired our furniture. They said they would come back the next day but never turned up.

I want to tell you all that please never hire these guys. They are a bunch of thieves who will fleece you. Better to spend some more money and have peace of mind than to hire this most unprofessional and inconsiderate company.
