Hi guys I m writing my experience about PHILIPS CFL coz its also an ordinary CFL bult but compare to HALONIX it has got less life.the advantage of halonix is it has got good life than any other tubes.the life and reliability depend upon the components used in the unit, now a days all the companies are using cheaper component to launch their product in competitive platform finally they forget quality.Im not saying PHILIPS is worst but its not better than the best.still you have got lots of selections.
GE is one of the trusted brand in technician group.As being a technician I know that almost all companies are using same 13005 driver transistor.By making some changes you can still improve your light intensity, but its harmfull and reduce the life of the tube.so my suggestion is dont buy CFL int the name saves energy, if you really want to save some thing better to go for LED lamps.
