I booked a taxi from Gemini Bridge to Neelankarai in Chennai. Its a distance of roughly 14kms depending on the exact location one wants to get down.
The fare I expected to be charged was Rs80 for the 1st 4kms+ Rs 10 per additional. So I was expecting something around Rs 180+taxes(so roughly say Rs200).
Instead the bill came out to be Rs 320 with the total distance travelled around 21+ kms.The ride took approx. an hour and the bill included a ride time charge of approx. Rs 53+ in addition to the longer distance covered. This ride time charge was not mentioned earlier when I checked the rate card in the mobile app and to me it's doesn't make sense to me.
Clearly can't be trusted despite the numerous ads they give trying to project themselves as a professional & trustworthy.
