I bought this phone about 6 years ago. Then it was very expensive. Now you have sleek Nokias that look like sports cars and which younger generation prefers.
My 5100 looks like a bullock cart compared to the sleeker models; my friends tease me for using a heavy ''clumsy'' set. They hint that they would pass the hat around for a collection to enable me to buy a new sleek one.
However on many occasions my friends use my phone, especially when they wish to make an international call, especially in bad weather. In mezzanine floors the sleek ones are not useful or functional; whereas mine works wonderfully well. The reception is very clear.
The set may look unwieldy, old-fashioned and heavy; but I would like to use it as long as possible. The ''setbacks'' are off-setted by its reliability. It is like a faithful old wife who will never let you down, no matter whatever the odds.
