Before I had the MTNL TriBand Connection I was using Sify...The Rental is a bit on the higher side as compared to the MTNL TriBand Connection that I currently have.It did Promise me a 256Kbps...But never got a download speed of more than 8 kbps...Even though I had a Plan of download free anytime..Unlimited...!!
So when I took the MTNL TriBand Connection wasnt sure of the Quality of Service.As my Download of data is very high.I went in for the MTNL TriBand Connection NIU 599.Which gives me a 256Kbps Connection Speed.
Well am very happy with it.It gives me a download Speed of 45kbps.Well have been using the same PC.Which is a P4 2.6Ghz & 1.5GB RAM DDR.I started the connection with MTNL TriBand Services in January 2006.and have been very Satisfied with the ISP.
Well the Downfall of this ISP is definetly thier Customer Services..The 1500 Services is a good thing that MTNL have started..but its a long wait & the Person you speak to isint sure of the Problem that you report.Also MTNL is short of the D-Link ADSL Router that you need for the connection.Even though its available easily in the Market...for reasons best known to them...
The connection is very easy to install & start using....As I didnt need the MTNL Eng at all....i Just took down Lan Settings..
The Path as Follows - Lan Settings -Properties-TCP/IP - Obtain IP Auto .
And then you select the Gateway.
Overall...its worth the money..!!
