I had applied for (1) Change of address (2) Add spouse name (3) Extension of expiry issue under tatkal
Step 1- Fill Form 2
Go to counter number 12 . On back side of Bikaji Place counter 12.
go early at 8:30 Am. Counter will open at 10 Am only. In mean time.. enjoy chatting with people around.
Keep all photo copy of docs attached
When your turn comes. Submit the form to Superintendent. Ask him if all docs their. He will not even look at them. Will return your OLD Passport
Submit the fee (300 for each service)
Wait for Police Verification. Done within approx 15 days. ( give him dana pani, if he ask always negotiable). Take his mobile number to follow up.
When done.
Check your status online. For almost 40-50 days. No change.
I email to passport official , then suddenly status change.
Go to counter 12 again, give your old passport along with print of online status.
Will give your same day, if lucky. My case called me after 2 days at 5 PM.
Long line. Wait for your turn. Give the receipt.
He will hand over OL Passport with enter of (1) Change of address (2) Add spouse name (3) Extension of expiry issue manual entry.
