I bought Micromax A106 Unite 2 for my father 4 months ago. Before jumping to the conclusion, let me throw some light on product specifications and their pros and cons.
OS: It was mentioned on Flipkart that OS supported is Android KitKat. I received the product and it had Android Lollipop installed. Fair enough, no complaints.
Primary Camera: 5 MP. Decent. Would have loved if it supported more features.
Front Camera: 2 MP. Decent again. Can't expect much from a 2 MP front cam.
Battery: 2000 mAh: Pain point. It appears to have 1400 mAh instead. Drains very quickly.
Gaming: Cannot play any high end games.
RAM: 1 GB. However, hangs very often and gets slow upon installing few applications.
Internal Memory: 8 GB. Fair enough.
Processor: 1.3 GHz+ MT6582M, Quad Core. I have used other quad core phones but this one really doesn't seem to be apt. Hangs too often.
Apart from all the above, the voice quality is not very clear. Also, the phone gets heated upon charging.
It's not always about providing various features at cheap price. One must be able to use those features too. In Micromax's case, I am sorry to say that although they have provided many features, they have failed miserably with this product.
