Appeal:

I bought Wagon R LXI model from AAA Delhi on 29th June 2009, its almost 10 months now I am using the car have clocked 12500 kms, used my 3 free services and pretty much satisfied with it. I started looking for a vehicle and within a week I decided to buy Wagon R, one week after I had the car in my parking, so I spent just 2 weeks from thinking about buying a car to actually getting it in my parking!!!!

Why I bought it?

A. I could not afford anything else

B. One of my friends just bought it and he recommended it to me

C. Contrary to common notions I liked its looks

D. My father forced me to buy a vehicle, he said its too risky to commute in bikes in N Delhi traffic

E. Maruti vehicle

What I loved in it

A. Very easy to drive with its EPS in city traffic, believe me I have driven quite a few cars, this is easiest one to drive

B. Very economical to maintain, I have banged it twice (once my mistake), there was visibly lot of damage on both occasions, but I spent <2500 (of course after claims) to get the vehicle repaired by local maruti authorized workshop

C. Very good view of road due to higher seat position in the vehicle

What I Liked in it

A. Space ( though it doesn't matter as I mostly travel alone in the car)

B. AC is effective on most occasions

C. Reliability, I have gone to places like Haridwar, Agra, Mathura, Jaipur in it, never it disappointed me, all trips went really smooth

What I disliked

A. Panel is very basic, just one trip meter, no RPM meter

B. No power windows

C. No space for rear speakers ( could be done with jugad only)

D. Little leg room for rear passengers

E. No defogger (Required in city like Delhi)

What I hated most in it

A. Bumpy ride, poor suspension

B. Very ordinary plastic used in console

C. Gear shift problem that creeps in sometimes

Overall, I would say it is a good car and now since Maruti has introduced their "Blue Eyed Boy", these shortcomings should have been taken care of

I feel Wagon R gives best value for your money

Thanks Guys,

Ankur
