We usually buy ornaments in GRT Chennai. unfortunately we are not happy with their quality and decided to switch to another shop.
I googled the best shop in chennai. After long search/ reviews I picked Lalitha Jewellery. We visited there to buy a nose pin to start with.
They welcomed us and treated well. Though they advertise 4% is their maximum wastage. In reality it was not true. We paid around Rs 600/- for the nose pin and the actual gold cost is around Rs 450/-. They said they sell the nose-pin's only on fixed rate. if you calculate the wastage then it is 33%(Gold price is Rs 450/- and we paid Rs 150/- More).
However we didn't mind it and we bought the nose pin and thought we got a good shop and decided to buy everything only here. it was happened in Dec 2015.
Now. We feel why we choose that shop. The stone came out from nose pin within 6 month of regular usage. and it looks very dull. my wife used the similar kind of nosepin purchased at GRT during 2007 till we got the nose pin from lalitha. I didnot exchanged it and I compared the stone among the two and the GRT looks better.

Lalitha gives good offer for the ornaments with stones(0-4% is applicable only for this type because they are getting gold price for stones)
They try to attract with their gold saving scheme. Review the scheme and decide if it is really profitable
Donot buy diamond ornaments from them. it was the suggestion from my friend and not sure whether it is lalitha Jewellery or lalitha thanga maligai
