Kesar da dhaba in Amritsar is a very famous Punjabi staple food shop. its very old dhaba cum food shop. The owners have expanded the seating capacity by acquiring adjacent property because of increasing customers.
Very nice preparation attracts the customers and the people of the nearby localities with equal zeal. *Mah ki dal* and **Chickpeas preparation** are the specialties of this dhaba which the Amritsar population devours thrice a weak.
Mah ki daal is prepared after simmering the same for about 10-12 hrs on low flame. Many coos cook the food at a time.
The process goes 24 hrs. As is typical of Punjabi food, all the vegetables and cereals served are over flowing with Desi Ghee. its very tasty. Once in a year its foodie delight. Service is prompt . But the menu has not chnaged over the years.
