At first the Instagram app was very famous. When the app was available on the andriod devices the content became more cheaper. There were a lot of fake users. So many inactive users right now. Though it is a good app to share pictures and memories etc, the easy it is to get famous. Instagram grew soo popular in a very less amount of time. Instagram can be exploited very easily as there are no proper security polices. Accounts get hacked all the time. Desperate people create fake followers, some of them even buy followers. Its all very easy to do now-a-days.
The service and support is not bad. All the updates are great. Except the story update which is copied somewhat from the snapchat app. There is a lot of creativity in this world, why copy the same feature again and again?
