We pre-booked hotel rooms in advance.(Hotel is mostly fully booked in weekends)
Reached the hotel by riding horses which is 3 KM from Dasturi.
We checked-IN half hour prior time in our A/C rooms.
Baggage were shifted and keys were handed over to us.
Room had a bed with blankets for 2 persons. It had a small sofa, Small Flat Screen TV and a window A/C.
Pros:
1 > Small Swimming pool for a family to enjoy with kids.
2 > Outdoor Swing to play for Kid was in good condition
3 > Open Sitting area provided the fresh air.
4 > Lunch was good but with limited option.(3 Sabji, chapati, Dokhla, Dal, Chawal, fruit Custard)
5 > They Played DJ in evening(8 to 10 pm), good to enjoy.
6 > Morning Breakfast was Good.( Poha, Idli and bread butter with tea).
7 > Morning hot water was provided for bath.
8 > TV, A/C were working properly.
Cons:
1 > Wifi signal was too weak in room and balcony, was not able to use the same.
2 > Steel Water Glass in room was stained and in very bad condition.
3 > Water leaking out from bathroom flush required maintenance.
4 > Towels provided were too short. Kind of big napkins. Unable to put around.
5 > No Paneer sabji in Lunch or dinner( Being Veg hotel, they must provide atleast one paneer sabji)
6 > Dinner had all fast food items.(Soup, Pav Bhaji, Noodles etc), They should have provide few regularr food too. Also dinner was not tasty.
7 > They did not provided with option of tandoori rotis / nan . Only chapati which should not be the case.
8 > Limited items in morning breakfast. They could have provided dosas or Parathas, toast bread etc.
9 > Kids playing area was not in condition to use. required maintenace.
10 > DJ played for 2 hours in open is bit disturbing for people loving the peace.
Considering matheran a small village with non-vehicle place, I have rated the hotel as neutral considering the place and the money I have payed for stay.
IMP: Food is average and not good or best as you may see review with best food quality.
Suggestion: Hotel require to be more hygienic and few maintenance in bathroom, playing area.
Also they should provide more variety and options in food.
