USE OF EXTERNAL HARD DRIVE AND ITS CARE

I advice to use an external hard drive of at least 1 tb(1024Gb) for backup of all important datas and documents. We must handle the hard drives very cautiously as it is too fragile and results in failure like not detecting, bad sectors, blue screen etc. if it experiences shock in excess of a particular range.

So handle the hard drives with care and unplug the external hard drives after ejecting it only as disconnecting usb devices while in use can result in non-detection of hard drives or permanent loss of datas. Keeping vital datas in zip format is recommended to avoid loss of data in case of virus attacks. I prefer using western digital as they have 2-3 yrs pickup and drop warranty services.
