At a price about 16 k the camera is a steal. Of course you have to spend more money for the XD card. But imagine the amount of money that you end up saving on the film and developing. If the average cost of developing one roll is about 250 Rs. Then you recover the cost of a 1GB card in just 15 odd rolls. Besides ,my friends, you only print the ones that you want . Rest you can simply burn a CD for or store them on your hard disk. And there are no wasted shots or spoilt shots . The success rate of good shots is too high specially if you stick to the full auto mode. You can even enhance the images in a photo editing software like ADOBE PHOTOSHOP ... So all technical or photographically challenged guys can deliver professional quality results with FUJI FINEPIX 5600
Also since its got a 55mm dia screw mount a whole range of filters like circular polariser , diffuser ( soft) , multi coated UV, Hood easily available.

CANON S21s ( Good camera but 27k. expensive... they spend too much money on Maria sharapova , so they are passing it on :) )
Sony cybershot H1 ( good camera but 2.5 '' TFT drains your battery quickly and about 5 k more than 5600 )
Sony Cybershot R1 ( at par with 9500 . Great but the price is almost like a lower end digital SLR - WIDE ANGLE ZOOM 29 -210MM or so)
Olympus C770 ( same price but only 3.4 Mpix with lesser in features too ) - Rs.18k
Panasonic Lumix Z20 ( Great lens 'Leica' but expensive and poor video FPS as compared )
Fuji Finepix s9500 - ( Great camera but almost 30 k - wide angle zoom 29-210mm
lens)
