I recently had an unfortunate experience with Fantasea Beach Resort in Devbag, and I feel compelled to share my disappointment. When booking a three-day stay from December 21 to December 23, I paid a 50% advance, totaling Rs. 6000.
Despite their verbal assurance of a flexible cancellation policy, the reality was far from what was promised. When I inquired about the refund, I was informed about a 50% penalty, and the resort failed to provide any written documentation supporting this claim.
Furthermore, when I reached out for clarification and requested a receipt with the cancellation policy and the deducted amount, the communication from Fantasea Beach Resortswas unprofessional and lacked transparency. There was a delay in response, and when I finally received a reply, it was vague and did not address my concerns adequately.
The lack of professionalism and failure to honor their commitment have left me with a bitter experience. I had recommended the resort for a same-day booking, but the unavailability of rooms during the recommended period further adds to the disappointment.
I am an old customer, having stayed in his resort four times, once with my five families. I have given references to many friends. Still, he behaves like this only for Rs. 3000.
I confirmed my booking on November 27 and canceled it on November 29, and still, about a 50% penalty for second day cancellation.
I hope this review serves as a cautionary tale for others considering Fantasea Beach Resort in Devbag. It's disheartening when a business falls short of its promises and fails to uphold basic customer service standards. My trust in the resort has been shattered, and I would caution anyone thinking of booking with them to reconsider.
