I ordered Epson Stylus CX 5500 from Flipkart at RS 3400 just because it was priced less than the other printers. Although priced low, but the cost of printing and maintenance is very high for this printer.
This printer uses 4 sets of ink to print(Black, White, Cyan, Yellow). All sorts of color can be produced using the combination of these sets. All 4 sets are needed to print, even if one gets exhausted it won't print. And the worst part is that Epson doesn't allow an individual set to be purchased.
Epson ink is available in 2 categories - Category 73 and 91. Category 91(500 for all 4 sets)is priced less than 73(800 for all 4 sets). 73 has more ink quantity.
The print quality is good but the speed is what that gives pain. If the color print is to be taken then it takes ages for it to complete.
Also Epson doesn't give an option to refill the ink nor do this printer supports third party cartridge.
