Duolingo is one of the best thing that has happened to the world. A blessing for all those who want to learn a new language from the comfort of their home. There are lots of option for English speaking users. You can even learn English, if you are a Hindi speaking person.
You get translation practices, both from and to, as written(typing) as well as spoken.
You need to keep practising all the lessons regularly, to maintain the fluency. Finishing up a lesson, gives you LINGOTS. They can be redeemed at the store for in-app uses. Practising daily also gets you lingots.
All this is for free along with ads.
They also have started Duolingo Plus which removes the ads and lets you download the lessons for offline learning. It has a monthly subscription to start with. Its tempting but not needed if you have internet connectivity every time.
But morally speaking, you should consider it as a donation. Duolingo is doing a great social service.
