Diveagar is a great place and If you want to enjoy a weekend near beach then Its a perfect destination from Pune. Breach is very clean and nice and modarately crowded. We stayed at Umesh Limaye's homestay (+91-9422355093). Very friendly people and the quality of the food is fantastic. Place that can be visited again and again..!!
However, the road to Diveagar is not so good if you go via Paud-Tamhini. Though its a shortest route around 175 kms. You can go via Mumbai Expressway - Khopoli, Pali where road is very good. But distance wise its 50 kms more.
