Friends, Today I will review about a nice ball pen. I couldn’t find a category for this one here so I am posting it here in the gifts section. We use ball pens for our daily use regarding various purposes. Technological advancement has made us more inclined towards computers, printers, cell phones, e-mails etc which has reduced the physical writing method drastically, but still we have to jot down many things for various purposes for which we require good writing instruments. Also many people like me, love to write things instead of just typing them and saving them on computer, mobile, digital diary etc.
The product that I am reviewing here is “Montex Hy-power 0.5 fine”ball pen. I use this ball pen for daily use and hence find it quite economical for the purpose of using daily. The company “M/S Jineshwar writing instruments ltd” under the brand name “Montex”manufactures a whole range of various writing instruments. I have been using this particular ball pen for years now and can vouch for it for its quality, performance, writing ease and many other good features.
Let me describe about the various salient features of this ball pen. Regarding the looks let me state that this ball pen is not for people who desire a good looking and designer ball pen. It’s very simple and decent in looks. Do not expect glossy or great looks if you are buying this one. This is meant for daily use and hence it doesn’t fall in to the category of high end luxury ball pens. It is a ball pen which comes with a press, click and close type of cap. The more stylishly yet economically inclined can buy a press button designer type too by paying a little bit more than this one, which also is manufactured by “Montex” brand under a different tag, but in comparison, I found this one more appropriate and suitable regarding the over all features that it has to offer and hence I am reviewing about this particular capped ball pen here.
Regarding the body of this ball pen, it is made out of toughened plastic which makes it ultra durable and sturdy. Even if it drops several times from your hands, no need to worry as it wouldn’t crack or will not break which was not the case with some other ball pens that I had used earlier. The body is also transparent enough to let you see from outside, the remaining ink left inside the refill and hence you can keep track of when to replace the refill with a new one. The rare speciality of this ball pen is that it possesses the longest refill in terms of height as compared to other available brands. In most of the other ball pens I have observed that the size of the ball pen is long, but the size of the refill provided is short in comparison which is actually deceitful, but in this ball pen you will find that the refill is the longest one in its class and hence it writes for longer periods compared to others giving you full value of your spent money. When you go to buy a new refill, it will cost you Rs- 4/- only. The ink that they provide in the refill is flowing fluid German ink that never dries or freezes and hence it gives you a smooth flow while writing without any disruption. No blotch, spots or leakage of ink is experienced while writing anytime.
The grip of the ball pen is also very good in terms of holding it while writing. They have provided a whole one inch height of rubberized material where we grip the ball pen while writing and that gives a very nice support to the fingers and your fingers won’t ache even if you write for very long periods. One more advantage of using this ball pen is that because of its rounded 0.5 tip combined with the firm rubberized grip, it helps in creating and extracting nice handwriting out of you which I feel is great.
The price of this ball pen is Rs-10/- only and the price of the refill is Rs-4/- only as already mentioned above. It comes in four colours viz blue, red, green and black. There are many use and throw cheaper Chinese ball pens too which are available in the market at throw away prices of Rs-1/- approx, but then in that you can not get all the nice features as mentioned above regarding this ball pen and hence I give the Chinese ones a miss over this one.
Go for this simple ball pen which is extra ordinary in features and I bet it will not disappoint you.
