It's more than a month now since I have been driving my Chevy baby. As promised, I return back to review the driving experience. One thing that has to be kept in mind is that I am a beginner in terms of driving. So, I can't make any comparisons of Spark with any other make as I hardly drove any.The speedometer has just turned 1200 kms in little more than a month.
Space: I tried driving with 2, 3, 4 people... As might be the case with small cars, the space at the rear seat (2 people) is little uncomfortable. The car is supposed to be a comfortable ride for 3 people and a luxurious ride for 2. Talking about the front seats, they are little closer than what I have observed with other cars. Whenever you change gears, it keeps rubbing the thigs of the person sitting next to you. If the person sitting next to you is your wife or GF, then you can enjoy, otherwise not.
Power: I feel that the car is little underpowered while driving in the city. Or, it might be that I am not yet used to fast change in the gears as an experienced driver. Sparky owners can comment on the same. (I am yet to take it on a highway)
Mileage: The car has just gone for a reassurance check-up (the one which they do after the first 1000 kms). Till now, I haven't checked it coz, I was still learning. But, when the car is back, I will definitely test it for sure. Again, I need some help from car owners. How do you test the mileage? Is it tank-to-tank or by kms? Which is more effective? Let me know if there is any alternative
Looks: No second thoughts, killer looks... The small shape of the car has allowed me to drive with ease in this congested bangalore city roads... (A wrong judgement has led to a scratch and a dent on the side door... But, that's fine... At the end of the day, you have to begin somewhere... It's better if it's your mistake...Otherwise, you will be crying
A/c: With 2 people, the A/C has been very effective... But, it's taking time for the cooling effect to reach the rear part (observation when 3 people were sitting). Before I installed the sun film, I used to get scared to park the car on the roads...Once it took almost 30 mins for the A/c effect after parking in the open (afternoon hours) for an hour
