That's so funny... or hey! that's awesome... have you blogged it yet? Those were the first few times I heard this word - blog.
Blog?? WHA???!!! What is blog? Is it like a clog? Or has it got something to do with (to) flog? sigh... I'm getting too old for this you know. I used to think that the day I don't know what the latest Justin Timberlake or Madonna song is - that day I will be old. But I never took into account that blog would be one of those words that would set my aging mind into a spin!
So, I decided to fight age, conquer it and be up to date... I switched on my laptop (see that should have been my first clue. Young people NEVER EVER put off their computers) and in my little google search box, I typed "blog + definition"
GASP!!!! I got 60, 600, 000 results for blog!! There were that many answers to my question?? Sigh... I picked the first one that jumped up at me and learned with interest that blog was not a clog (a wooden shoe in Europe) mis- spelt. Nor was it something to do with (to) flog ( to beat severely with a whip or stick). It actually meant : A written record of (usually personal) experiences and observations.
HA! Now THAT I could do!
So, without knowing how to go about this, I blindly did a search for "blog" in google again... and the first site that showed up was blogger.com.
I clicked on it and figured out that you needed to have a gmail account for this. I did. ( Ah! I'm so technologically advanced) I'm now rolling my eyes heavenward :-))
When you sign in, it takes you to a template which then offers various options and various sub-templates... and basically, after you chose what your mind and it's thoughts should look like for the observation of voyeuristic others, you can start writing...about just about anything.
So, write I did. About something really close to my heart. I signed off feeling good. I had not only set free my thoughts and my feelings for millions of random people but I had also learned something new today - re-iterating the age old saying: it's never too late to learn.
If you've read this far then the mumblings of a self confessed ignoramus must interest you! Why don't you check out my handy work at https://soulmia.blogspot.com/
And do let me know if I did good :-)
