I would like to share my agony experienced with BOI recently. Since my father passed away recently who was account holder with Ghatkopar branch and had his pension being deposited in the same account. Our nightmare started when my mother wished to get that money. When approached to the bank.we were told to do certain paperwork like frankinn and stamp duty worth Rs.600/-(Dont understand the purpose for this but just money making option), attested documents and get 2 witnesses which we did. On every visit the lady at the counter responsible to verify and collect the documents would remove some sort of insufficiency and not accept the form.
Instead of taking the onus and explaining the process has just added to inconvenience. Even after doing 5 rounds my form is yet not accepted due to silly reasons given.
Senior Management should look at improving the efficiency of their staff by giving them training as most of the queries go unanswered and leading to dissatisfaction. If not looked into surely you will keep loosing customers.
