I would wish to tell the experience I had with amazon as seller customer. Actually I make handmade jewelry items and sell it online by posting ad in Facebook or Olx. Similarly I had posted an ad in Olx.
After few days I got message in Olx message box that why don't you post your ads in amazon.in.
I replied by mentioning that I had tried and since I am not a tax payer I quit that page in between.
Actually by viewing video's on how to post ad in amazon, face book, flip-kart I tried to create a account in the particular site but I was not able to do it because it ask for the tax payment details i, e GST details where I am not a tax payer so I quit that page and didn't proceed further.
By viewing my message in OLX the Amazon.in executive called me saying that now new launch is done that in metropolitan cities you can create your account with GST, but you have to sell your products within that city itself. I found that some thing fishy in it and told him to call after some time. Mean while I crossed checked in amazon site where I could not find any such clause which amazon executive mentioned to me in call. Later when he called I questioned the same to him he gave me a link to cross verify and even told me that he will send his amazon executive proof. Same way he whats app me all the details then I was ok that he is an executive of amazon. This I had to do to check whether it was a fake or true call.
Later he asked me to send some pics of design earrings and then he mentioned that he will create selling account in my name and then ad few products later on we can post the ad whenever required. He mentioned its totally hassle free when any customer makes an order our amazon representative will collect the item from you and we will send the pack for the customer where the amount will be credited in your account within 7 days of item delivery. By all this I found its a good market to sell my handmade jewel products.
But after updating my items in amazon my products was not sold out and even in online it was not visible. I tried for one year to sell but could sell the same product through other means. So when I shifted from Bangalore to other place I wrote a letter and even called customer care to delete my account. So that I can have a new account with same number only for purchasing but since they mentioned it is deleted. I tried to create a new account with same number its not accepting and more over my seller account is still working.
I don't think we should believe amazon for selling our products. Our products are always sold by mouthword. So friends don't sell in amazon it just waste of time.
