After about six months of search and studying various brands and avoiding Batas I dared to dream about forgotten brand of sports and purchased ADIDAS shoes from a shopping Mall in Bhubneswar.
All other leading brands like Reebok , Woodlands etc were tried but they all looked very gaudy and kitshy for my age group. My purpose was to buy a multipurpose pair of foot ornaments. Yes there was a RNBDJ's SRK effect also. In this movie we saw SRK wearing NIKE shoes in combination with formal pant and shirt. Latest trend is wearing jeans and Nike Shoes. I too prefer wearing Jeans and T-Shirt or Formal Shirts and wanted to upgrade from Leather shoes to Sports one.
It is going to be three months when I entered Adidas outlet in Pal Heights Mall, Bhubneswar. Two sales were very helpful and humble to attend with patience because I was not at all interested to buy old fashioned ADIDAS. I tried each and every shoe shown to me. It was just like purchase of multi role aircraft by Indian Govt. After wearnig I walked up and down and jogged upand down about fifty meters long Show Room, made full use of the foot mirrors provided, in checking the material strength, top view, bottom view and rear view of each and every shoe I tried. Number of shoes tested will be kept secret else showroom will raided by cutomers from neibouring states.
During this trial cold water was demanded and asked if they can provide Tea, be it on payement. I applied all my own previous buying techniques and very well bothered to take all precautions read in various Mouthshut reviews especially the one written by Shalu on Woodlands. I spent more than one hour in selecting my type of shoes in price range of Rs 2300/- without any discount. During this one hour those two poor chaps attended three more customers on tandem.
Now, about shoes. I am already using one Nike pair which is left behind in Delhi. So this may be the psychological reason of buying this ADIDAS brand. Honestly writing, Nike shoes are far ahead of ADIDAS. This shoe is comfort fit , flexible, allows you to walk run every thing is fantabulous. But you can not wear them for longer duration. They choke your feet. Yes you cannot "sleep" with them : ) Sometimes ago there was an Ad "Joote Saans bhi lete hain" by Kapil Phaaji. ADIDAS has no breathing sy\stem.
I remember n number of times I have slept with my Nike shoes on. You will not mind entering into your Quilts wearing Nike Shoes. Yes all day I dream about sports but without wearing ADIDAS.
