This speaker from sony is one of the best options for a portable bluetooth speaker in the budget range.
It looks amazing and the design is solid. plus its waterproof and dustproof with an ip rating of ip67. Thats a very good plus point if you want to use it at the pool or in the shower, since you dont have to worry about water spills or the speaker getting submerged in the water. It is more than enough to fill up a room with music and can be used at the pool too. The sound quality is fantastic for a speaker in this range. The vocals are crisp, highs and lows are clear and the bass is more than satisfactory. It doesnt distort as much even at near full volume. However if you are a bass fanatic, than you should probably get the SRS-XB31 or SRS-XB41. The battery in the SRS-XB12 is the biggest plus point of this speaker. Sony claims a battery backup of 16 hours. And I have easily got around 12-14 hours from this speaker at 60-70% volume which is feast in itself.
