A beautiful poem, a delicate work of art, a symphony to my ears….That’s how I would define Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Saawariya. An absolute director’s film where actors have lived upon to his expectation and have delivered their job with perfection! I just could not imagine that silver screen could be turned to a thing of beauty too!! Sanjay Leela proved this with his **Saawariya!!
*I simply could not have just enough of scenic studio set in reverberating blue and green where things were awake from one’s dream. A symphony of visual, melodies and emotions pouring deep….
The story or rather I would like to call it a theme, is however far from being valid or something we expect from normal film reels. It is piece of art I did love to fathom, where every thing was picked from fairy land and were put in the cinema frame. Kudos to the people who gave birth to something that exclusive, that eye pleasing! The reels danced on the screen, beneath the bridge, at the picturesque side of the canal and amid the fairy tale structures- those beg to state that, please take out some time out for us from your maddening world. Do find some time to dream what is not easy to visualize. Sing something that fills your heart with warmth and love.
I just savored the flawless taste of soulful cinema that is courageous and innovative and not within the ability of any Indian director, if it has to come, it has to be through Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Reels after reels, if you have an eye for precision you can see through- the pain and toil for making alive all those which could be easily termed as one man’s fantasy and another individual’s crap!!
The camera sways, the set reverberates and the brilliant color décor allure minds together they present an opera in unison.
Kudos to Sanjay for weaving a dream that was so refreshing and pleasant! Kudos to him for lending his life to pictures in motion!
Ranbeer and Sonam have proved to be promising and are spilling with potential. Innocence, hope, freshness of morning dew is what defines Sonam!
Ranbeer a brilliant dancer, a promising actor, a star of tomorrow coupled with dreamy eyes takes the cake away.
Rani Mukherjee is now a veteran and has worked as the founding pillar for this theme. I loved her latkaa-jhatkaas and bazaarupan as an actress living the life of a wh*re.
Never ever I found it to finish up at a tragic end- it was soulful treat of camera and melodies that did end to start again- with the dawn of two new faces in the horizon of Indian Film Industry. Watch them coming with more passion and performance in their next flick.
Who ever said Rani was wasted- I would solicit that a life that roams within the perched wall of flesh trade is not waste but it tastes the taste of truth, being straight forward and knowing that all that you are worth of is your flesh and thus you can afford to be bold and beautiful too!!
All in all it’s a treat for cinema lovers of different kind!!
Just when the dust would settle after the maddening hullabaloo of OSO!! Have a date with Saawariya. But before that close your eyes trying visualizing a dream in your mind, about being loved, being happy and caring for that someone special you managed to win or lose!! And then see them all coming to life on a silver screen near you!!
I am touched with the brilliance of a director
I am amazed with the brilliance of a cinematographer
*I am overwhelmed with the work of writer and music director
I am joyous with the trust and confidence of two fresh actors on their director
