I am a frequent traveller by rail and mostly I use irctc website to book my ticket. But for this diwali it was very rush and I decided to search for some online bus booking website in internet and finally got this website redbus.in website interface is cool and easy. I got my return ticket booked. Price is also reasonable for AC VOLVO (50 Rs less than when I booked same ticket with another private operator before). But because of some official issues I have to change the return journey and hence I decided to cancel the ticket.
I called there customer service and ask them to cancel it. It got cancelled and they refund me the amount back as a cash coupon. They took 15% as the cancellation charges. As I am not a frequent traveller by bus I dont want the cash coupon but instead I need it credited to my account.
I send them an email and it got credited back in 4 days.
That is my experience with redbus.in
I will mention some points below that will help you.
1 : book the ticket atleast a week before
2 : tickets will not get booked immediately by the actual bus operator. It may take 2 to 3 days. Hence make a call to to the travel operator and conform ticket is booked.
3 : if you want to cancel ticket, cancel it a week before and if you are lucky you
Will get full refund. Or they will deduct 15%.
4 : once ticket is cancelled you will get an email from them and a cash coupon. Will be there which you can use for the next journey. It is 6 months valid
5 : if you want your money credited back to your account simply send an email (recommend to reply to the same email where you have the cash coupon no) to support@redbus.in. Money will get credited back within 4 to 5 days.
6 : you or any one can take the print out of ticket from there website by typing
Your ticket no any time before the departure of bus.
