We visited Kerala in 2015. So Munnar, Allepy & Thekkadey was in our itinerary and Munnar was the our first stop after landing in Kochi. It takes around 1 to 2 hrs depends on the traffic to reach Munnar from kochi airport.
The magic starts itself when you enter in munnar. All lush green tree plantations on the hills, There are many things to see in Munnar like Eravikulam National Park, Kundala Lake when you ll enjoy paddle boating, Rose garden.
Also there will be few photo points where you can take your pictures in the tea plantation plucking tea leaves and wearing their local costumes and carrying basket, That is all fun.
You can see different peaks there also they have adventure & amusement parks. Also there many ayurvedic massage centers.
Food is all depend on the hotel your staying. Ask your driver and they will tell you everything best there. Overall nice place to visit and stay at least 3 days and roam around. Its a wonderland.
