I watched this movie two days back because of its title and its lead actor- Abhimanyu Singh, one who gave stellar performance in Gulal, a good movie .
Its story is based on nexus between politics and religion. But, I was little impressed with its story since it is a very sensitive subject. We all know, many movies were made on it- PK to Chingaari.
So, with great interest, I entered movie hall, but the moment story reached its middle; I really felt a sense of dejection. Yes, Abhimanyu tries hard to perform but with its weak story; Global Baba has nothing to offer. It tries to spin a fabric of politics, crime and religion.
What I really feel sad is wastage of some talented actors- Sanjay Mishra, Ravi Kishan, Pankaj Tripathi- with adequate experience in dramatic arts.
If only, its director Manoj Tewari had done extensive research; it could have been a great movie.
Alas, it could neither become a politico-social satire nor an art movie.
With a heavy heart along with a hole in pocket; I returned home.
