My skin is quite dry and you know how the climate of Bangalore is! Further my skin gets drier in the colder months. I know that we need to use good moisturisers that suit our skin to moisturise the dry skin. But I needed something more and not just empty bottles after bottles of a moisturising body lotion like crazy which was also like a 10-15 min job after a bath. I knew I was doing something wrong. Soon I realized that it was the wrong soap that I was using. This happy realization introduced Dove to me and since I have been using it I have not dared to use any other soap. As one of a feminine trait, earlier I used to like changing my soap from time to time.
I thought that when I can afford to spend on the other expensive soaps which are not doing so well then it would be worth paying a little extra on Dove. With Dove no dryness or tightness only soft, natural skin. It is a perfect moisturising soap. If soap absorbs the natural moisture of your skin leaving it dry, use of artificial moisturisers will not be able to do wonder is what I learnt with experience. Now after a bath or a face wash, the quantity of moisturising lotion that I use is also less. So I am happy that I am balancing my pockets too. I think this soap can also be recommended for people suffering from acne as it is very gentle with the skin. Most important I love the fact that it works great for my little son who used to run around the house after his bath on seeing me opening the bottle of body lotion. He just hates to use a moisturiser. He says it makes him feel so chipku chipku although I am using a non-greasy moisturiser. The smell of the soap is absolutely fantastic. It may sound weird but it will also serve as a bathroom freshener when it is sitting idle on the soap case.
Except for its price, I cannot find any flaws in this multi-purpose soap.
