Laxmi Hyundai workshop bad experience

I bought my Hyundai Santro XP in March from Kun United, khairatabad, hyderabad. I am quite happy with the car's performance except the mileage where it ranges between 12-14. But I am not happy with the Laxmi Hyundai workshop in Hyderabad. I met with a small accident while driving back home, after getting my permanent license test done, when I hit a truck going forward. the front bumper of the car got smashed little inside and the headlights looked to be protruding. As such there was no harm in the normal functioning of the car and the engine, as the crash was at a very low speed.

I went to the Laxmi Hyundai workshop in Banjara Hills, near LV prasad eye hospital. First of all the welcome given by the workshop personnels was little hostile, may be because the tag on car was of Kun United. Then I explained the problem. They opened the bonnet and checked the headlight mount which had a little crack, but was not broken at all. The railing under the bumper was hit and had gone little inside, because of which the fiber bumper outside was also going inside.

so, the guy simply suggested me to change all the parts i.e. railing, bumper and the whole headlight mounting!

which would cost me an exaggerating amount of 5500 bucks. There was no damage to the headlight mount as such except a little crack. and there were no signs of any damage on the bumper too. But he simply wanted to change everything and claim insurance. so, I left the issue there and went to a local guy, who simply put a little quickfix on the headlight mount crack and adjust the headlights properly on the cramp.

The same thing or a little more adjustments could have been done by the workshop people also, but I think they are not interested in really repairing the minor damages. they try to give high figures and get some commission throgh the insurance people. So, we better get all the estimates cross checked before investing unnecessarily huge amounts in replacements.
