Where do I even begin? Despite the mixed reviews I had heard about Cabs Bazar, I decided to give them a try for a trip from Rishikesh to Kathgodam. I had made my booking well in advance, but no cab or driver details were shared with me until I escalated the issue. When they finally sent the vehicle and driver information, I wasn’t too surprised that the driver arrived late for pickup.
However, things quickly went downhill. Within the city, the driver started driving recklessly. When we warned him to slow down, he brushed it off, saying this was normal driving in the city. Less than an hour later, we were involved in an accident. To make matters worse, the driver, Chandra Singh from Rishikesh, did not even move from the accident site and instead had the audacity to demand 50% of the fare.
We were too shaken and exhausted to argue, so we made the payment. Even now, there has been no response or action from Cabs Bazar regarding the driver’s behavior. This was a deeply disappointing and unsafe experience, and I would advise caution to anyone considering their services.
