Set in a UK backdrop, Badla is a pure story based entertainment with no noisy stupid shouts in the name of songs or any undue vulgarity/ abusive dialogues, too coomon these days. It is a tough to understand and certainly will prove to be an "overhead transmission" to an average "dance, song, comedy and romance" seeking average cine-goer. Amitabh is excellent as usual and carries the movie all alone. Taapsee Pannu has shown her great acting prowess. She is a talented actress having acted in 4 major languages across India(Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam) but her excessive Punjabi accent while speaking needs to be corrected which is eminent while acting alongside Mr. Bachchan with his extra-chaste Hindi and clear pronunciation. Even Amrita Singh speaks excellent Hindi. Tony Luke's Malayalam diction and minor flaws in Hindi can be overlooked as his character as Arjun Joseph can be assumed to be a Keralite in the movie. Further. wrong Hindi is a fashion in Hindi films and TV these days, to quote ".main'ye' project par" instead of saying ".main'is' project par".
At times story looks extra difficult to understand which could have been narrated in a better manner. Overall movie is worth watching entertainer to matured minds. It could have been given "A" certification by censor(instead of UA) as it is a waste of time and too difficult to understand fully, for anyone less than 18 in age.
