Babumoshai Restaurant is located in Madhyamgram, in the outskirt of Kolkata. This one is quite popular in MadhyamGram and the best option to dine in a restaurant ambiance.
I visited this place with one of my senior co workers. He stays in Madhyamgram and takes me to this place just for a casual dinner. The ambiance is just OK. Nothing special to mention about it. As we are not dining in a proper Kolkata restaurant, I have to give it pass marks as far as ambiance is concerned.
The restaurant was already occupied and we took our seat in a corner place. It is an A/C restaurnat and it felt great as the weather was really humid in the month of June.
We ordered Mutton Handi and butter Naan as my senior friend is a die hard fan of Mutton, and he does not consider poultry chicken as an eatable stuff. They took almost 30 minutes to make Mutton Hundi and we were informed well in advance.
So, we ordered some snacks just to pass time and the item was fish pakora. It tasted great.
Waiters here are friendly but not properly trained, but if you explain them in casual tone, they will surely help you out. But, they simply do not understand the professional tune of the customers. I think, the location of the place matters here. This restaurant is located in proper Kolkata, so the attitude is slightly different than the well trained waiters in a posh kolkata restaurant.
Butter Naan was soft and tasty, so was Mutton Hundi. Mutton was also boiled and cooked perfect, so nothing to complain about.
To sum up the nice dinner, we ordered Sprite cold drink, as we really needed this for easy digestion process as our stomach was full.
It was a treat from my senior friend for his salary hike, and it was a nice treat given from the heart. I thanked him for this wonderful dinner.
The price of the items are also affordable and with in budget.
It was really late and I rushed back to home which is almost 2 hours ride from this place. I reached home by 12AM.
But, it has been a good experience for me dining in a suburb restaurant. If you are staying in Madhaymgram, Sodepur, Agarpara this restaurant is quite nearby. It will be good choice for any family party too.
