This is Sumana Sengupta from Kolkata , India . before writing the review Let me make 2 confession ....
I am not a hardcore fan of metal . Even today itself I dont know what is the difference between 'a hard rock' and 'a heavy metal' .Basically I listen almost all type of songs that is audible ( sometimes Metals are not audible....for some-people its just noise )...
I dont know Iron maiden personally .But I am in love with them and thats why incresed there Bank balance buy buying 5 CDs of Iron maiden ( doing so I also supported humanity I will come to this point).
As I dont know them 'personally' some data I took from their official website and some from the booklets with the CDs. My discussion point is based on their live album "ROCK IN RIO" .( I havent found that in mouthshut's list .)

Rock in rio Rock in Rio is basically a ROCK festival in Brazil, where Iron Maiden played to a crowd of 250, 000. This performance was recorded and subsequently released on CD and DVD .Ok now read the first line of this paragraph again .... seee the crowd figure ? This is perhaps the highest crowd ever accumulated breaking the record of a-ha's performance which was stated in the Guinness Book of Records as having the biggest paying audience for a concert, approximately 195 000.And if you see the DVD the crowds were everywhere ..at the sea..as well as over the mountains...and everybody was dancing in their own rythem........what an ambience . And thats not a very short time program , It continued all 7 days - 7 nights .
Generally Iron Maiden like to appear at the stage exactly at 23:58 because of their fan-favourites "2 Minutes to Midnight" .And look at the die-hard fans ........ 7 days 7 nights they were their...and at the end of the show 65% of them were still dancing !!! In 2001, Rock in Rio has contributed over 2 million dollars to the Viva Rio Organization and to UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization). Thanks to this contribution, more than 3, 000 youngsters could finish elementary school. Furthermore, the young people in need gained 70 new classrooms and 35 computer rooms. Moreover, 28 social projects from UNESCO benefited from this financial aid.
Now some of the songs by Iron maiden >>>
Brave New World Its a classic example of modern day metal song.
"Dying swans twisted wings, beauty not needed here
Lost my love, lost my life, in this garden of fear
I have seen many things, in a lifetime alone
Mother love is no more, bring this savage back home
Wilderness house of pain, makes no sense of it all
Close this mind dull this brain, messiah before his fall
What you see is not real, those who know will not tell
All is lost sold your souls to this brave new **world"
*Iron Maiden's first studio work after the reunion with Bruce Dickinson and Adrian Smith came in the form of 2000's Brave New World. The album was met with much critical acclaim. Thematic influences continued with "The Wicker Man" - based on the 1973 British cult film of the same name, and "Brave New World" - based on the novel of the same name.
The Number of the Beast Dickinson's recorded debut with Iron Maiden was 1982's The Number of the Beast, an album that claimed the band their first ever UK Albums Chart number 1 record[19] and additionally became a Top Ten hit in many other countries.
"Woe to you, Oh Earth and Sea, for the Devil sends the
beast with wrath, because he knows the time is short...
Let him who hath understanding reckon the number of the
beast for it is a human number, its number is Six hundred and
sixty six."
I left alone my mind was blank
I needed time to think to get the memories from my mind
Seventh Son of a Seventh Son
For the first time, the band used keyboards on a recording,
The album was a "concept album" and dealt with the life of the "seventh son."
For instance, "The Clairvoyant" is about him coming to terms with his
powers and learning to control them, "The Prophecy" is about him trying
to get people to believe him and "Moonchild" is about "the Unmaker of
all things" trying to prevent his birth.
Here they stand brothers them all
All the sons divided theyd fall
Here await the birth of a son
The seventh, the heavenly, the chosen one
Here the birth from an unbroken line
Born the healer, the seventh, this time
Unknowingly blessed and as his life unfolds
Slowly unveiling the power he holds
Piece of Mind The album is widely considered a fan-favourite and contains "The Trooper" and "Flight of Icarus", which were both released as singles. Songs inspired by literary works included "Where Eagles Dare" (based on the movie of the same name), "To Tame A Land" (based on the novel Dune by Frank Herbert), and the aforementioned "The Trooper", based on Tennyson's poem Charge of the Light Brigade.
Fear of the Dark (1992) My favourite I M album ....wow how beautiful are the lyrics ...
I am a man who walks alone
And when I'm walking a dark road
At night or strolling through the park
When the light begins to change
I sometimes feel a little strange
A little anxious when it's dark.
ENJOY !!!!

added: Bruce said that they would be back in India within 17 months. I hope they keep their promise, as I want to attend the next Iron Maiden Live concert .
