Avoid Etechies at any cost people. If you love your time, your money, most importantly peace of mind, you definitely don’t want to go anywhere near them. Let me tell you why.
There is firstly a good chance that you got to know about this careless and senseless servicing company through Justdial, or may be net, because there is no chance your friend would have suggested you, right? Anyway firstly their so called customer care is going to boast you about how unique they are, about their services, expertise and all the other blah blahs.Trust me, they are lies, blatant lies!
They have this service what they call one time servicing where they charge customer of Rs1000(500 refundable on delivering unrepaired system). They will make all false promises of repairing your system, putting latest software, antivirus, free 7 day support after repair and many more bullshit.
They have this unique fee of Rs1000 which you have to pay to the technician who visits your home in advance. They say their technician of NASA intelligence is going to firstly try to correct your system at home itself, and if not possible they are going to take the system to their company, and they always take the system and you end up paying Rs1000. Then starts the agony of getting to know the status, cost, delivery. They very well know that you are not going to pay them any money at the end!
These people are absolutely horrible, careless and cheaters. They take your system and you can surely forget it for another month like it happened to me. After almost a week they surprise you with a call to tell you what the problem in your system is. Then they shock you by saying that your motherboard is gone. You need to pay extra Rs6000 for a new one. Since I had already given 1000 which is not refundable I thought let them do it. Later I knew my motherboard was all fine, but since my system was quite old, I thought let them get a new one. But when I enquired about the cost in the market(SP road in Bangalore), they were selling it for 3000-4000, that’s it! They are fooling people with such a rate, as big as 2000, shame on you etechies!
Then when you check the status of your request, it says on quality check. Then again after 2 weeks they call you to inform you that motherboard suitable for your desktop is not available. LIARS! If it was not available, how come they came up with a magic price of 6000? And what was that "system under quality check" status mean?
They say they would repair the system within 7 -10 days. It was almost 3 weeks by then. They say they would deliver your UNREPAIRED" system as soon as possible, and I say, my ass!
They will never deliver your system in time, forget in time, they will waste another 1 week just to deliver your unrepaired system. I had to make 20-30 calls to their number and blast them each time to get to know where is my system and the reply you get from them is as always"We are sorry for the inconvenience".
With all the negativity you are reading about this cheaters, you might wonder is there anything good about them? Well, let me tell you there is one aboslutely fantastic talent that their customer care has honed. and that is to talk like a robot with a list of excuses in handy even if the customer happens to%$%^@#@#!
If you are from Bangalore, trust me, the most common excuse they give is that their 4 wheeler has broken down, so they will deliver tomorrow. When I think about this now, I feel like laughing. Back then I thought to sue them, in consumer court.
By the way did I miss telling you that they would deliver your unrepaired system and give you Rs.500 back, other 500 is for technician who visited to take your system. And your system might now be in proper condition after delivery, my system had quite a few screws missing and the dust is as it is! I wonder what they did with my system! Horrible!
I am not going to endorse any other company, nor is this review to bash any company, but to warn you people by letting you know my experience, and letting you know what possibly can happen if you happen to get in touch with them to get servicing done.
The net is filled with 99% negative review comments about them. Take your time to read them and get a bigger picture of them. Don’t be impressed with their facebook page, because you might see many good comments, and the reason is that they delete most of the negative comments. Yea, they deleted mine! Their page, they deleted, but this aint their mamma’s page, and now deal with it!
Final words for people, local computer servicing shops you find are way better that these untrained, dumbass people.
