I sometimes wonder why I watch such films which are almost sure to disappoint me, going by their trailers. But then, if you are hopelessly jobless, spending 3 hours in a theatre is a much better option (economically and health-wise) than spending 3 hours in a bar.

Bachelor comedies are fun. One needs to switch off the brain’s logical switch to enjoy them. The last release: Pyaar Ka Punchnaama was a complete laugh riot till the point emotions sought in. This film has its moments, but the gigs and punch-lines are not that funny to keep you interested.

Plot (Source: Wikipedia)

The film centres around three friends who love their bachelorhood so much that they place a bet among themselves that whoever decides to marry first will lose a huge amount in shares that were contributed by all three. All is well until one decides to take the plunge and make a commitment.

It is a 2 hour film that tries to pack in everything – drama, comedy, romance, little bit of suspense, emotions etc. And that’s the main reason for its failure. Only once in a long while can a director/writer pack in so much ingredients in a film and make it interesting (Om Shanti Om, in my opinion was the only perfect blend that I can think of in last 5-6 years). So the end result is a film that is good on none of these.

The cast performance is average; neither good nor bad. The music is decent but the songs act as speed breakers. As I mentioned, the film has a few funny moments. Shreyas Talpade’s silent act in the bathroom, the trio’s meetings with Paresh Rawal are the only noticeable ones. But they are too few and can’t help the film survive.

Overall, I suggest you give this film a miss. May be watch it when it airs on TV (which should be really soon, going by its low budget and not too bright box office prospects).
