It is just MRP Rs.24 for a 500g pack and it does the job of washing almost similar to what the so called branded detergents do. Arguments will be there saying that it may damage our cloths.Actually all the available detergents have some chemicals in common which can damage some delicate cloths and it is highly recommended to avoid machine washing as well as washing powders. So for those cloths it is good that we use mild washing soaps. Another argument will be that we have to use more quantity powder to get similar wash. As far as I am concerned I have used several detergent powders and I have not felt any different. Please note that a washing powder generating more foam is not the criteria for quality. It is all about how much surface tension of the water is being reduced so as to have more surface contact or wetting with the fabric material. By this more dirt is being removed.
This may vary with fabric material also.
So if the purpose is the same then why should we invest more?
