I bought a 1.5 ton Vise AC in May 2024. It was retailing for INR 31, 000 which was by far the cheapest. In hindsight, it was a mistake to buy the cheapest.
Vise doesn't have their own installation team; they contract with an agency and their tech over charged me for every consumable. Installation cost me about 5k, which included copper tubing, insulation, monsoon tape, and drain line. The unit comes with a few feet of tubing, which is insufficient for the shortest distance between the indoor and outdoor unit.
The installation wasn't done per the code in the manual. The drain line wasn't at a gradient and the installer didn't fit the line tightly over the drain tray. This caused a leak within a few weeks. He also didn't recommend that I plug the hole in the wall with an insulating material. This caused additional condensation on the indoor unit because of hot air coming in contact with the cold equipment.
I raised a service appointment with Vijay Sales for the leak. Turns out, they don't have their own service team. They contract with Onsitego. The tech was professional and replaced the drain line. The leak stopped for a couple of weeks after which it recurred. I had to follow up with Vijay Sales once again. I've been told it takes 48 hours for a visit. I don't understand how a newly purchased AC can create so many problems.
Overall, I won't recommend Vise products. Stick to Mitsubishi, Hitachi, Panasonic, and O'General.
In terms of performance, it cools well, but it's noisy.
