You have read my review on Hypertension(High BP and problems arising fromit) alonwith guide lines to treat the disease. Hypotension is just the reverse of Hypertension. It means Low Blood Pressure /Diminished Blood pressure.

What is Hypotension? When the systolic blood pressure is below 110 mg and diastolic blood pressure is below 70 mm, then the patients is called suffering from Low Blood Pressure or Hypertension. This fall in blood pressure or reduction in blood pressure may have been caused by anything. It may be weakness, effect of medication, some shock, sense of some guilt, apprehension of something bad to happen, hopelessness etc.

Hypertension or LBP may be physiological or may not be associated with signs of ill-health. Normally the blood pressure regulating mechanism fails bring the BP low. It may also happen by standing at attention for long period or side effects of some medicine/drug.

Commonly the Low Bp may be due to mycardial infarction or reduction in cardiac output because of sluggish circulation of blood . The sluggish circulation of blood may have been induced by bleeding(Haemorrhage), severe burns, some severe shock, gastro-entertis, toxaemia, or exhaustion due to heat. In medical field LBP may be associated with ADDISON'S or Simmund's diseases.Capilary dilation may also cause it.

HOW TO RECOGNISE A LBP PATIENT?

A person suffering from Low B.P. may be:

  1. showing signs of fainting temporarily or may be complaining that he having faints.

  2. Loosing consciousness or has already fainted.

  3. Complains of insomnia-loss of sleep,

  4. feeling sluggish or complaing of lassitude.

  5. complaining of headache.

  6. feeling giddy.

Sometimes the person may not show any of the above symptoms. But Bradycardia, nausea and sweating a lot suggests attack of vasovagal showing the BP is falling down. If the hypotension continues for a long period then it may lead to urinary, kidney, renal problems apart from raising the levels of blood urea.

TREATMENT:

In absence of any organic disease the following hoeopathic medicines will help in treating this problem:

  1. CARBOVEG: .

  2. GELSEMIUM:

  3. SILICEA: . .

  4. RHUS TOX

  5. KALI PHOS

  6. NAJA TRIPUDIANS:.

The above are the main medicines with important symptoms given against each Help of a homeo physician will be useful in deciding the potency of the medicine to be given with reference to symptoms

When you have no medicine at hand- GIVE A CUP OF VERY SWEET MILK or if no milk is available give 3/4 spoons of sugar dissolved in water, I have saved a number of patients using this sweet milk/sugar. Even a sweet Lemon would work in emergency.

Caution: Immediate attention be given to a LBP patient because delays have been noticed to be fatal It is more dangerous than HIGH BP. The person sufferring from LBP sleeps into unconsciousness and many times passes out because the family persons thought that he was resting and sleeping.

The Main symptoms of these medicines are given in comments as the limit of words restricts. I hope the review would be helpful to LBP patients
