The Royals is the best Hindi romantic drama I have ever watched. Theres everything: drama, love, hate, and suspense to keep you captivated. This web series is about a royal family's struggle with debt and the princes love interest with a business entrepreneur. The series has beautifully portrayed the love story of the prince and a businesswoman, with the challenges of financial crises in the royal family.
Plot
Its a romantic drama series that premiered in 2025. The web series is all about love, drama, hate, and struggle. The lead characters in the series have captivated me with their stunning acting. The series has beautiful portrayals of the financial struggle of the Morpur royal family and the love story of its prince with the businesswoman(whom they seek for help), with the clash between their different worlds. The series has successfully justified its core of navigating the challenges the royal family faced to overcome the financial crises while maintaining their social status.
Acting Performance
The acting performance of all the characters is phenomenal. Each character in the series has won my heart with their acting. If I talk about the lead characters of the series, Sophiya Kanmani Shekhar(Bhumi Pednekar), Yuvraaj Aviraaj Faizzy Singh(Ishaan Khattar), and Ayesha Dhondi(Nora Fatehi), Faizzys ex-girlfriend, all have acted outstandingly. Apart from this, the comedy timing of Dino Morya and Vihaan Samanths tenderness has touched my heart.
Direction
The direction of the series is decent and visually appealing by providing a royal experience with indulgence. The series is directed by Priyanka Ghose and Nupur Asthana, whose direction has added scale and glamour, which makes it very appealing for me.
Cinematography/ Music/ Editing
The series is filmed in the most beautiful palaces of Rajasthan, which are breathtaking and give a realistic experience of visiting the places. The use of colour and lighting to establish the tone and express the situation is remarkable. Also, the beautiful music in the overall series has added an extra flair to the character and their royal world. I loved that music and used it as background music in my various videos. Though the cinematography and music were spot on, the editing was a little disappointing as it could be crisper.
Final Verdict
Overall, I loved the theme of the series, which successfully portrays the love, ambition, hate, and clash between tradition and modernity. Bhumika Pednekar is my favourite actress, and the reason behind watching the movie hasnt disappointed me with her acting. The cinematic techniques and pieces of music have added extra grace to the series, which I loved a lot. I would love to recommend this web series as I, too, cant wait for SEASON 2.
