The Revenant has earned a lot of accolades for being the movie that gave Leonardo diCaprio the Oscar, and it has certainly lived up to the hype. The plot of the movie is engaging but not something that is going to keep you spellbound - it is mildly interesting.

The main highlight of the movie is the sheer acting skill of Leonardo diCaprio. He portrays his character with absolute perfection. The movie is worth watching if only for his acting talent.
