Best As Bank, But Bad Service By Branches

State bank of India is one of the largest bank in India . It's branches spread all over the India . I am a old user in this bank . Using this bank for long time, I have got two type of experiences - Good as a bank & bad services by some branches.


Good As A Bank: -


1) It have many branches all over India . So, maximum people of India can use this bank .


2) Internet banking service is friendly & easy to use for all . All option like INB, NEFT, Check account statement, linking aadhaar card, apply for cheques, etc are in different tab .


3) ATM counter of SBI also available in many places . So, I can withdraw money at anywhere .


4) In passbook all transactions are printed with full details . So that, I can understand any post transaction's details without any problem .


Negative Point Of The Bank:-


1) Customer service of the bank is not good . They can't help me about a transaction . When I ask a quiry about a transaction related issue, they said that they are unable to check my account's any transaction . I must go to branch for this issue . Where other bank's customer service can help me about this type of problem .


2) Sometime their customer service provide me wrong information . One day I asked them, that day is their bank open or close . They said open . But, when I went on their branch, I saw branch was closed . As a result, I load my valuable time .


Bad Service By Branches:-


1) Few days ago, I want to apply cheque book for a new account of SBI for first time . Service manager of Mahisgote SBI informed me that first cheque book is free of cost . After applying cheque book, I checked that 17.25/- had been deducted from account as MCC issue . Then I to their customer care they said 20 pages of cheques are free for every year . When, I ask to service manager of branch he said 10 pages of cheques are free for every year . But, earlier before applying it he didn't told me this condition . I ask him that you told it is free for first time, till money deducted from my account . He said I must wrote I want 10 pages cheque in applying form . How can I know that only 10 pages free for every year . So, as per wrong information by service manager I loss money . Because, I don't need more than 10 pages cheque in a year . Another thing is that customer service team said 20 pages free &  Service manager of branch said 10 pages free . I don't know which right .  Previous branch manager was also too much bad . His behavior was bad .


2) In this bank there have many many customer as it is a very old branch . But, from long time then open one counter . As a result every day there people crowded together . Every customer waste time in the branch .


3) This branch took too much time open a new account . Once they took around one month too open my relative's account .


4) In the branch, in a board there have written they exchange old, cut, dirty note . Few months ago one time, I got a cut note from SBI ATM counter . Then I went on my branch to exchange it . But, service manager refuse me to exchange the note .


5) Sometime passbook update machine not working properly . Some transactions not printed in my passbook . When I manually update these from counter, date of transaction not printed .


6) Many time I need to wait many time in branch as there are no link of internet connection .


So from my above experiences, I say that  services of SBI are good . Their services are friendly . But, they should improve their branches by opening extra counter, giving correct information to customer, solving update passbook issues, behave friendly with customer .
