In July I bought this product offered by Pepperfry, a Stockton Single Bed in Provincial Teak Finish by Woodsworth for Rs.24132/- [after discount it came down to approx 19k].


The design was simple and elegant and so was the color and hence I was pleased with myself for having made a good purchase! from a brand ike Pepperfry. It was for my guest room and so was not going to be used regularly. BUT imagine MY SHOCK when last week .just 2 months since I purchased this product.the bed just fell apart at the headboard! and it was never even used to date!


I then called Pepperfry to lodge a complaint. The cust svc exec sent me a email so that I could upload pics and then she promised that the "case is being forwarded to another department" and I will get a call from Gayatri. since then 3 days passed and no calls or any text message or updates from Pepperfry. So I called them again a 2nd time. [so annoying to have a wait time of 2 mins!] and again explained my case etc etc . and again they gave me the "standard spiel of apologies" and that "my case is being forwarded to the concerned department"! and yet another day passed and no calls or any update from them! So AGAIN I called them today . really annoying to wait through the IVR and finally reach a cust svc exec who YET AGAIN spits out her "standard spiel of apologies" and YET AGAIN tells me that "my case is being forwarded to the concerned department"! so I waited patiently and asked her to connect me to a Manager or supervisor.


The waiting time was 10 MINUTES! one can imagine how furious I was! FINALLY a lady comes on line [I did not bother to ask her designation as she sounded just like another exec] and YET AGAIN the "same standard spiel of apologies"! they now have promised to send a replacement headboard within the next 15-20 days and I hope I do receive it! I had to ask them to follow up and keep me updated and also make an effort to deliver it to me within 10 days. atleast this way I can be sure that they "REALLY ARE APOLOGETIC"!


But my verdict here is PATHETIC CUSTOMER SERVICE, PATHETIC AFTER SALES SERVICE AND SUPER PATHETIC QUALITY OF FURNITURE! NO WONDER THEY ARE OFFERING AT HUGE DISCOUNTS.ITS TOTALLY NOT WORTH IT!
