Hi Friends,

This is gonna be my first GSM phone which I bought in the year 2002. Six years ago . I got it as a second hand after getting exhausted with the Ambani's Reliance Postpaid and their peculiar of billing.

I bought this phone for Rs. 2200.00 for second hand in good working condition with almost 1 day battery back up with an Aircel Prepaid Starter Pack from a Mobile Shop.  It took a day for me to get used to my new mobile.

I drove my mobile for two and a half years and still it fetched Rs. 1000.00 back when I sold it off. In this period, the only expense I made was to change the battery for Rs. 275.00 . I used to recieve arround 20-30 calls in my mobile.  No frequesnt outgoings as it was not affordable to pay Rs. 3/ min for Landline Calls and Rs. 2/- per minute for mobs . The only outgoing I made was to STD mobiles which was plain Rs. 2/- per minute to mobiles all over India. It was beneficial for me.

That was the first tariff introduced by Aircel. My monthly budget for cell was compulsarily Rs. 300.00 . Today it varies from Rs. 170.00 to Rs. 520.00, depending upon monthly usage.

To the phone, it was an economic good lovely phone I had. I could not think of selling it off. But it often fell down when I rash-rode my bike in bad roads. But nothing happened. I simply love that phone like anything. I was in financial crisis too. Today if I get my  phone GD 30 back, I am ready to pay a max of Rs. 500.00.

Always Panasonic has its own value. After pushing GD 30 off, I got a second hand GD 75, which I still have as a memorable posession . It still gives a backup of 1 day for the battery . I have drop it down at least 10 times a month in average and teh maximum impact is that  it turns off. In these two and a half years, I have done only one service that too two months ago . November 2007 ( Deppawali season) as there was some charging problem and te technician fixed it and serviced the full board.

Anybody who still uses Panasonic GD 30 or GD 75 can get in touch with me at
