I am a regular viewer in Navina Cinema Hall. It is not actually a multiplex but a single screen movie theatre like the good old days.
There are lot of USPs for watching a movie here. The foremost thing is the ticket price. You will not loose a significant part of your salary if you like to watch a movie with your family which is contrary to many other multiplexes in the city. A balcony ticket costs only Rs. 100/-
The screen size is amazing which seems bigger than many multiplex screen sizes. Their dolby digital surround sound will punch you in the heart. You will get fully immersed in the movie.
The seats are push back and decent.
Another good thing is that you may buy cold drinks, water and snacks from outside and have it while enjoying the movie. You will not have to shell out hundreds of bucks for pop corns worth ten rupees. Don't worry, they clean their auditorium properly.
We watched a lot of movies here all of which I cannot even remember. Me and my wife watched Ghajni, Dangal here and had a great time. My kid really enjoyed the Movie Jungle Book here.

Things to keep in mind:
Try to avoid ground seats if with family. Balcony always have decent visitors.
Only drawback is that Hindi Dubbed English movies are shown here which takes away the essence of the movie.
They also do not have streoscopic 3D viewing facility.
Also avoid opening day opening shows of the Star studded films if you are going with family. Some locals gets a little emotional and excited for their dear star. Nothing indecent but you would be unable to hear or see properly due to their excitement. But again that excitement is something to experience.
For Hindi and Bengali movies this theatre is the best. I fear after the retirement of the few old staffs working here what will happen to this fine theatre? Will it be a Rs.400/- bucks a ticket multiplex, or a shopping mall or apartments? We, the citizens of Kolkata have to keep it alive. If more decent visitors flock here more are the chances of its survival.
