I was starting my new business in 2014 and was running out of money, so I Pledge some ornaments of my family and got Rs.6 lacks as loan at 15% RoI annually.I paid Rs.22000 as procession and locker charges from my loan, so I got only Rs.5.78 lacks in hand. After this, I was paying my EMIs regularly but when I checked my statement after first 6 months, I was completely shocked as my principal increased when I checked they said it was due to Gold Price ChangeAfter this incident, I managed to collect money from somewhere else and repaid my loan and get back ornaments. I paid 0.50% of outstanding as pre-closure fees. I would not recommend Muthoot after my this experience, rather take money from Bank or local Lender.
