Story:

If there has been one writer in the entire history of civilization who has managed to be eloquent in the face of death, it's probably Late Christopher Hitchens. After being tragically diagnosed with Stage IV Esophageal Cancer, a vile disease he lost his father to, Mr Hitchens wrote a series of pieces for Vanity Fair magazine. These essays contain the most well-thought out passages on the prospect of painful death, and on one's journey towards it,

In the slim volume aptly titled "Mortality", the essays have been collected for wider dissemination. The works therein contained some of the best Mr Hitchens ever wrote and are a testament to his astuteness and resolute courage. It is an essential read for all who face the possibility of pain in life, which by definition includes all of humanity.
